ABOUT Saginaw Green
Green spaces do more than soften the concrete urban landscape, but also provide places to congregate, commune, and grow. Downtown Pontiac’s first urban green space built in many years promises to support the communities growing resident and business population.
THE PROJECT
Located just south of The Lafayette Grand and across the street from the WKC building, the park resides as a pocket between two existing buildings at 111 N. Saginaw Street.

PHASE ONE
completed
Vacant land considered blight was acquired by the Pontiac Downtown Business Association (now known as Main Street Pontiac).

PHASE TWO
completed
Fundraising, clean up and landscaping efforts were begun to lay the groundwork and prepare the park.

PHASE THREE
in progress
Finishing touches required to mainain the green space seasonally including power and water to make it viable community asset.
Main Street Pontiac
Downtown Pontiac is managed by Main Street Pontiac, formerly known as the Pontiac Downtown Business Association (PDBA). Main Street Pontiac promotes downtown awareness, advocates for businesses, raises funds and builds downtown business relationships.
