Pontiac Welcomes Downtown 51 Grille Catering
You've been dinning at Downtown 51 Grille for years and enjoying the atmosphere of this family establishment for nineteen years. On Monday, October 12 this family owned business announced it's newest reincarnation as a catering and banquet venue.
The Young family has a long history in Oakland County. Father Bo Young, bought the Pontiac building in 1995 and opened BO's Brewery and Bistro a year later in 1996. In 2008 the brewery was eliminated during the economic downturn and was reincarnated with an outdoor covered cafe under the name BO's Smokehouse and Bar-B-Que.
The facility enjoyed another update again in the winter of 2012 when the restaurant underwent a cosmetic renovation both inside and out. The redesign provided excellent photography backdrops on the newly restored curving staircase and comfortable lounge area in the mezzanine. Downtown 51 Grille became the newest update to the business.
After years of opertaions and support within the community, Bo Young will retire from the day-to-day operations at age 74 while his sons plan to continue the business as a banqueting venue. The Younge family thanks everyone for the 20 years of support they have received. They look forward to serving your banquet needs in the years to come.
