Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program for Pontiac
A letter from Mayor Deirdre Waterman and Pastor Doug Jones for our Downtown Pontiac and neighboring Pontiac business owners,
Dear Pontiac Area Businesses,
On behalf of Pontiac Mayor Deirdre Waterman and the Greater Pontiac Community Coalition's Committee of 50, I cordially invite you to an informative meeting about an exciting program designed to help businesses advance to the next level. This program is the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses initiative. We've invited representatives from the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Inititiave to come to Pontiac and share information about the program with our local businesses. We're also honored to have U.S. Senator Gary Peters, a member of the Senate Small Business Committee, as our special guest for this meeting.
10,000 Small Businesses is an investment to help entrepreneurs, like you, create jobs and economic opportunity by providing greater access to education, capital, and business support services. 67% of participants have reported increasing their revenues and 46% of participants have reported creating net new jobs just six months after graduating from the program. The 10,000 Small Businesses program is funded by Goldman Sachs and the Goldman Sachs Foundation.
Please join us on April 4, 2016 at Welcome Missionary Baptist Church located at 143 Oneida St. in Pontiac for this detailed explanation of the program. Doors open at 9:00am and the speaking program begins promptly at 9:30am. You'll have the opportunity to ask questions and directly connect with Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses representatives that can help you apply for this great program.
Please contact us at 248-335-8740 with questions or to RSVP for the meeting. We look forward to seeing you on April 4th!
